About KWP

The Kentucky Writing Project (KWP) is an affiliate of the National Writing Project  (NWP) in partnership with the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC), consisting of a statewide network of educational leaders and consultants trained by NWP, KDE, KEDC, and public universities across the Commonwealth.

The KWP state network previously incorporated eight regional sites from across the Commonwealth; however, as of 2025, KWP became an active, stand-alone site within the National Writing Project network of sites offering summer institutes, professional learning, coaching, and youth writing programs
